Established in 1990 by Hugh Johnson, Royal Tokaji was the first foreign company to invest in the Tokaj wine region after the fall of communism. Thus started the rebirth of this once famed region, evolving from one state winery production and label to twenty some private winery producers and wines today. Royal Tokaji received over 100 international awards and is regularly named as one of the finest wineries in the world. Our wines are to be found in the cellars of some of the most discerning collectors and on the lists of the most fêted restaurants.
